We offer a dynamic work environment where flexibility meets fulfillment. We're looking for dedicated New York State Certified Special Education Teachers and Certified Reading/Literacy Specialists to fill both full-time and part-time contract roles at our partner schools. In this position, teachers will provide small group and 1:1 academic support to students with IEPs and IESPs. SETSS sessions are offered during both school hours and after-school hours, giving SETSS Teachers the flexibility to create their own schedules.
Special education teacher support services Requirements
Must have any of the following NYS Teaching Certifications:
• Special Education Permanent
• Students with Disabilities
• Reading / Literacy Specialist
• At least two years of teaching experience
• Must NOT currently be employed by NYC DOE or previously employed by the NYC DOE within the past 12 months
• Fingerprint clearance and DOE approval (checked after initial interview)
• Applicants must be experienced working with students one-on-one and in small groups of 8 or less
